Malta – #SandeepwedsMalisa

27 May, 2017

After hosting the pre-wedding Mehndi party At Malisa’s residence, it was evident that this crowd was going to give me pure energy! From the first meeting, Malisa and Sandeep were assertive and showed plenty of faith in me and my choices across all 4 events. Sandeep’s family danced like professional bhangra dancers, whereas Malisa’s family proved their Garba and Bollywood talent on the floor. A hybrid mix of both led to high energy dance offs. The mehndi party was full of integration, laughter and food which certainly set the tone for Malta! Working alongside Prime Films (Amar & Waqar) and Sascha (Grand Excelsior Hotel) proved to be enjoyable and flawless. Once we landed in Malta, we were escorted to the hotel, where we were warmly greeted by both families and the lovely bride and groom. After freshening up we headed to the Tiki Terrace for the Hawaiian themed welcome drinks and surprise evening boat ride. This was topped off by fireworks and plenty of singing even without music! Although this was supposed to be a “relaxing evening.” This simply turned into a rave on the terrace! A dancefloor was created out of nowhere and music was turned up!! The following day was the wedding and reception and the hotel was buzzing. Everyone knew each other. The wedding was perfectly timed so that guests could take their time and stroll down to the afternoon ceremony after breakfast. The ceremony and reception was overlooking the harbour. After a beautiful ceremony, the marquee was turned around for the big night amidst the gorgeous sunset. People were almost itching to release themselves on the dancefloor. This crowd was definitely not shy after 2 parties already. After a magical first dance with the crowd holding Sparklers, the dancefloor erupted! Everything from 60s – 70s Rock n Roll/Bollywood up to recent hip hop cuts and Garage classics. It was perhaps most inspiring to see kids singing along to James Brown. After plenty of pleading, this crowd did not want to stop. The party was stretched up until the early hours of the morning. For those soldiers still standing, the party continued in the indoor pool! The electric atmosphere made this 3 day extravaganza definitely one to remember. I’m sure I will be returning to this magical venue again ? – See more at:
